MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant won Family Friendly Workplace Award that was taken over by Péter Bognár HR Director from Katalin Novák, State Secretary in charge of Family and Youth Affairs representing Ministry of Human Capacities.
In addition to the safe and environmentally friendly operation, NPP pays special attention during the activities to workers and their families. This corporate approach was awarded by the National Institute for Family and Social Policy after getting a mandate from the Ministry of Human Capacities.
Paks Nuclear Power Plant submitted a tender in the enterprise category presenting the work-life balance measures, programs and practices. The most oustanding of these are flexible work scheduling, organization of educations and trainings, support for parents of small children, health- welfare- and social benefits provided by the company, aid for sick relatives and retired employees. The objective of the tender is to help the development and improvement of family-friendly workplaces that promote work-life balance as well as the coordination of family and private life with work obligations.
Peculiarity of the Family Friendly Workplace Award is, that this year the same recognition was given to Paks Nuclear Power Plant by "Three Princes - Three Princesses" Movement , so now the workers of the only Hungarian nuclear power plant can enter a doubly Family Friendly Workplace. MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant have already earned the award several times, also in 2013 and in 2014. In addition, other areas of the plant also received recognition as Best Workplace for Women in 2007, second prize from Heart-Friendly Workplace program in 2009, and a Special Prize as the Healthiest Workplace in 2011.
